ORTHOPEDIC ACUPUNCTURE

Annalisa starts out doing a series of full body diagnostic tests to pinpoint any inhibited muscles which contribute to the area of pain. She then uses Motor Point Acupuncture, a technique which uses needles to access the motor point of a muscle – the point where the nerve innervates the muscle – in order to release the tightened muscle fibers from a tense and shortened position.  When injury happens, these muscles tense up, pull on neighboring structures causing pain and tend to remain that way.  Inflammation happens as your body is trying to solve the problem.   Needles are inserted into this motor point and stimulated, releasing the muscle and the tension on the surrounding structures and tissues, blood circulates more freely, nerves signalling pain to the brain are actually 're-wired' and healing can begin.  This technique is combined with the more traditional whole body acupuncture treatment to relieve pain, reduce the need for pain medication, and get you back to the activities you love.
